Stefan Büttner

S.B. studied classical philology and philosophy in Mainz, Munich and Marburg. He then worked as a research assistant and senior academic advisor in Marburg and Constance. Since 2011, he has held the Chair of Classical Philology (Greek Studies) at the University of Vienna. His main research interests are: Ancient philosophy (esp. Plato, Aristotle), ancient aesthetics, Greek tragedy (esp. Euripides), history of reception, history of ideas.
