Dustin Zorn is a Berlin-based composer and live electronic performer whose work has been presented at festivals such as Ultraschall, Mehrlichtmusik and Klangwerkstatt. His work combines electronic and instrumental musical perspectives through collaborative, performative and algorithmic approaches. His compositions have been performed by ensembles such as Mosaik, Lux:NM, KNM and Echo Ensemble, and he has received several awards for his compositions, including a residency at the Beethoven Haus in Bonn. In addition to his work as a composer, Dustin Zorn is currently a research assistant at the mdw Vienna on the project “Études for live electronic”, where he is pursuing his doctorate, and a lecturer in musical analysis at the hfm Hanns-Eisler. He has presented his research at conferences at EPARM, SAR and the Orpheus Institute Gent. During his studies in Berlin and Paris he received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
